Who are you, and what's your style?

I'm Channon, and I shoot weddings ll around Perth. My style is an unmistakable blend of luxurious editorial and heartfelt storytelling, with genuine warmth at the heart of it. For portraits, I shoot with dramatic light and considered composition, frames that feel like stills from a film, whilst using the environment as part of the story rather than just a backdrop. The rest of the day leans documentary: storytelling over staging. My editing is unmistakable and atmospheric with a strong focus on the moment. The result is a gallery that holds up as art long after the day itself is over.

Couples who care about quality and detail, who've spent their lives noticing the difference, tend to find their way to my work for exactly that reason.

I hate having my photo taken. Is that a problem?

Honestly, most people feel that way. My superpower is calming those nerves and helping you feel completely relaxed. I'd never expect you to "model". I'll gently guide and prompt you instead. Photographers who pretend otherwise tend to get stiffer images because of it. From the moment we connect, I give clear, warm direction so you always know what to do and where to look. During couple portraits, I guide you into natural moments rather than poses. During the ceremony and speeches, I step back entirely and document what unfolds. By the end of the day, most couples tell me they forgot I was there, and that's exactly when the photographs become something special. It's the same thing I hear again and again in reviews: OVER 70 five-star reviews, "you made us feel so relaxed" is easily the most common line couples come back to.

What's it actually like working with you on the day?

I'm pretty chill but super bossy (in a nice way) whenever it's needed. During couple portraits, I guide you into natural moments rather than posing you like mannequins. During the ceremony and speeches, I step back entirely and document what unfolds without getting in the way. Most couples tell me that by the end of the day, they'd forgotten I was even there, and that's usually exactly when the best photographs happen.

Do you have reviews I can check out?

Yes!! 77 and counting, all five-star. If there's one line that shows up again and again in them, it's some version of "you made us feel so relaxed" — which is basically the whole point of how I work.

Booking me

How far in advance should we book? It's best to get in touch at least a year before your wedding date, I take on select clients who love my work, but if your date's coming up fast, get in touch anyway,I'll always try to make it work.

What do we need to do to lock in our date?

I keep your inquiry open until you let me know we are a good fit or not, once its a yes!, I require a 50% non refundable retainer and the balance due a week prior to your wedding.

Do you travel outside Perth?

Absolutely! My dream destination is Scotland! But I have been flown to Broome, South Africa and the USA.

What if you're sick on the day?

Of course this is a real concern, I have colleagues who I trust implicitly who can and will step in on the day.

How many hours of coverage do we get?

Depends entirely on what you want - I am completely flexible.

Do you bring a second shooter?

Not usually, but I can arrange one if you would like one. This is a good option for weddings from 6 hours and with large wedding guest lists.

What if the weather turns bad?

I love a challenge and always watch the weather like a hawk. I know many back up locations but we will also discuss this at your pre appointment.

Will you tell us where to stand the whole day, or can we just enjoy it?

A bit of both, on purpose. I give clear, warm direction during portraits so you're never standing around wondering what to do, but I'm not fussing over you all day. Ceremony, speeches, dancing; I disappear into the background and just document it as it happens.

Photos & delivery

How long until we see our photos?

Your full gallery is ready within 10 - 15 working days. Well ahead of the industry standard, without cutting corners on the editing. Weddings over 6 hours take up to 20 working days.

How do we receive our photos?

Through a private online gallery, so you can view, download, and share straight away, no waiting on a USB in the mail.

Do we get all the raw/unedited photos?

I only provide fully edited jpeg files in high resolution and social media sizes.

Can we print our own photos, or do we need to order through you?

Yes you can, but I work with an Artisanal printer to create truly heirloom albums and print boxes.
